October 1, 2014

It's been a little while since i've vetted some feelings on mama hood - it seems the past few weeks have been super busy with work projects that writing in this space has fallen to the wayside. Which is okay because life is happening and sometimes the seasons of life are busy and sometimes not. I'm slowly learning to embrace the ebb and flows of each passing day.

This girl though - she recently started speaking in 3-4 word sentences and all the things I've been dreaming of her saying, even before she was on the earth, she's saying. "yuv yuu mama" "mama try too" "see you yater" "ruru go potty too" "nite nite mama, seepy gooood" and the list goes on. I just can't thank my lucky stars enough for the gift it is in watching her grow and learn. My heart bursts for her a thousand times a day. If i'm not answering an email or running to a meeting, you can find me kissing Ruthie cheeks and squeezing Ruthie thighs because there is not a single thing in this world better.

ps. we've kind of, sort of started potty training and holy cow is it cute. We bought a little potty the other day and she asks to sit on it twenty times a day, claiming "Did it!" after every time she sits on it. (She doesn't do anything but sit on it.......I die)

  1. This is precious. We just started the potty training journey, too. Maybe it's because it's still so new to us, but I think it's really fun! :) (*crossing fingers/toes + knocking on wood it continues.*)

  2. ah! how adorable! our little guy has an extensive vocabulary but hasn't strung the words together yet, i'm dreaming of those sweet sentences too! ;)

Thank you for coming by and taking the time to comment. Have a wonderful day!
